Kingswood 2015

 KINGSWOOD 2015

6.15pm  Report from Mrs Austin + Mrs Cooke

What an amazing afternoon! The sun came out just in time for Nightline
& then a visit to the beach, both activities with all the class
together. After a research project about sea defences, the class then
had about 45 minutes to build sand castles, make pebble statues &
develop new sea defences of their own ( well done Lucas, Billy, Ben G.
& Sam!)
Some comments so far about the trip:-
Jenna " Love the all the
activities but especially love being with my friends."
Josh G. loved
being on the beach because ".... I want to find fossils & spend time
just enjoying the beach."
Leo loves the food.
Amelia loves being able
to bond with everybody.
Aimee M. loved the zip wire because "... I got
stuck & it made me laugh."
Joshua W. thought caving was "... The
Best!"
Billy loved Nightline because ".... I love not knowing!"
Later
tonight the groups swap over Drumbeat & Caving but get together again
to solve a murder mystery..

12.30pm

The first activity was the zip wire. All chidren - and Mrs Austin / Mr Shaefer managed to complete the course. Amelia siad ' It was brilliant' - I'm just waiting for my knees to stop knocking!

Then it was the aeroball which caused hilarity!

After lunch all the children are going down to the beach for more activities. The weather is good and the sun is shining. Hopefully some photos later.

9.32.

Rain stopped now and the sun is shining!

We are all ready to go for the first activity; all children are fine and happy with no problems.

All had a good nights sleep, most dozed off around 10.00am but one stayed up until 11.15!!!! Just waiting for breakfast and the first activity f the day. Children can have a cooked breakfast or a choice of cereal or both!

Then its the first activity of the day.

Its raining at the moment but its due to stop in an hour.

All children settled into bed after their hot cocoa, BUT not asleep yet!!

More news + photos in the morning.

Report from Mr Shaefer at 9.35pm

Picture 1

Was a night of drumming, caving & twisting.... One group learned how to  drum and use rhythm, another
explored the caves under Kingswood (Mrs. Austin was NOT amused by the
spiders!) and they all joined together for a massive game of Twister.
Then, after hot cocoa, time for bed. Tuesday will be a day full of adventure; zip wire, aero ball, nightline and an
afternoon on the  beach. More details to follow. Having problems downloading photos so will try to load some on tomorrow!

Children happy and unpacked ready for their tea and first activity.
